Mom Charged With Endangering Daughter After Letting Tigers Roam Free At Home

Police were initially called to Trisha Meyer’s home in Houston, Texas after she allegedly scammed a California man who had tried to buy a Savannah kitten from her for $3,000. However, authorities never anticipated the wild surprise they would find behind her front door.

Meyer was arrested after police discovered three tigers, a cougar, a skunk, a fox, and several monkeys wandering freely throughout her home. The dangerous animals were completely uncontrolled within the confines of Meyer’s home and her 14-year-old daughter was found petting some of them.

Ashtyn Rivet from BARC Animal Shelter stated that Trisha, who was homeschooling her daughter, put her in a extremely dangerous situation, saying, ‘Wildlife can pose a threat to anyone inside the house, especially if it isn’t restrained.’

Trisha Meyer fled to Las Vegas, despite facing felony charges and for theft and endangering a child, where she was eventually arrested. Click2Houston has reported that the mother is being held on a $2,000 bail in the Nye County Jail.
